HEInnovate workshop with the EU GREEN Alliance: Bridging innovation and sustainability
On 27 November 2025, the University of Évora hosted the second phase of the HEInnovate workshop with the EU GREEN alliance, dedicated to further strengthening innovation and entrepreneurship across the consortium. This on-site workshop built on the outcomes of an online session held earlier in the month, where representatives from partner institutions were introduced to the HEInnovate framework and began reflecting on their shared priorities.
Key highlights from the workshops
The first (online) workshop centred on familiarising EU GREEN partners with the HEInnovate framework and revisiting the alliance’s overarching goals related to innovation and entrepreneurship. During this session, participants also carried out a stakeholder analysis to identify the internal and external actors who will play a critical role in advancing EU GREEN’s strategy.
The second workshop in Évora offered an opportunity to deepen this work. Partners revisited their collective vision and took part in a structured self-assessment exercise using the HEInnovate framework to examine the alliance’s current performance. Building on these reflections, participants discussed ways to move closer to their long-term aspirations and jointly identified two action strands that will guide future efforts in innovation and entrepreneurship.
During the final session of the workshop, participants collaborated in groups to outline concrete plans for each action strand. These plans include key activities, indicative timelines, and the stakeholders responsible for implementation. Together, they will serve as a roadmap for the Alliance in the coming months as work continues to advance innovation and entrepreneurship across EU GREEN partner institutions.
Looking ahead
The workshops represented a valuable opportunity for EU GREEN partners to reflect collectively on their ambitions for innovation and entrepreneurship and to co-develop concrete next steps. It was a pleasure for the HEInnovate team to accompany this process and to engage with such a committed and forward-thinking group.
