This webinar will explore the services that higher education institutions put in place to help students transform their entrepreneurial ideas into concrete initiatives. It will focus on the ways in which institutions support student-led entrepreneurship through extra-curricular and co-curricular offerings. These include, but are not limited to, incubation and acceleration programmes, mentorship schemes, networking opportunities with start-up ecosystems, and access to seed funding.
The webinar will present institutional and student perspectives to understand how these services operate in practice and how they contribute to the development of entrepreneurial mindsets and capabilities. We will examine the strategic role of institutions in fostering supportive environments and reflect on students' experiences as beneficiaries of these initiatives. This comparative approach will provide insights into the effectiveness and inclusiveness of existing support mechanisms, while identifying areas for further improvement and innovation.
π‘ Key topics include:
- How higher education institutions integrate support services for entrepreneurship into academic life
- Good practices in incubation, acceleration, mentoring, and promoting entrepreneurship
- The role of networks, ecosystems, and cross-sector partnerships in enabling student entrepreneurship
- Perspectives from students on innovation and entrepreneurship
