CEI Study Visit 2026-II: Building Europe’s innovation capacity through lifelong learning (In person event - FULLY FUNDED)
The Community for Educational Innovation (CEI) invites motivated professionals to apply for the CEI Study Visit 2026-II, taking place on 3–4 November 2026 and hosted by the Polytechnic University of Viana do Castelo, Portugal. This immersive, fully funded visit will explore how lifelong learning can strengthen Europe’s innovation capacity by helping individuals and organisations respond to evolving skills needs and workforce transitions.
Building on the themes of this semester’s CEI webinars, the programme will focus on flexible learning opportunities, recognition of prior learning, micro-credentials, modular provision and cooperation between education providers and employers. Through small-group discussions, peer exchanges and collective reflection, participants will share their own practices, explore common challenges and identify approaches that can be adapted to their institutions and systems.
Over 1.5 days, the programme will bring together researchers, educators, higher education professionals and other stakeholders working on lifelong learning and skills development. The Polytechnic University of Viana do Castelo, with its strong regional engagement, will provide participants with insights into how education institutions can align learning provision with evolving workforce needs while widening access to lifelong learning.

Funding: Travel within the 27 EU Member States and accommodation costs will be fully covered for 15 selected participants
