We are pleased to inform you that registration to the HEInnovate event: "Make Innovation Work in Higher Education" that will be held in Brussels on 27-28 February 2018 is now open at: http://heinnovate.onetec.eu/index.html
The event will address questions including: "Why should HEIs become innovative and entrepreneurial? What does it mean to become an innovative and entrepreneurial HEI? How to become an innovative and entrepreneurial HEI?"
There is no "unique" approach, but a variety of ways in which HEIs behave entrepreneurial. This is reflected in the diversity, how they manage resources and build organisational capacity, engage external stakeholders in their leadership and governance, create and nurture synergies between teaching, research and their societal engagement, and how they promote entrepreneurship through education and business start-up support as well as knowledge exchange.
We will show and discuss how HEInnovate can help HEIs to foster institutional change and support them in their journey to develop their entrepreneurial potential. We will also explore how HEInnovate can be used on country level to support the development of national HE systems that provide a supportive environment to innovative/entrepreneurial HEIs.
The event will showcase some of the innovative practices and solutions that exist, help participants identify problems or particular issues they are facing in their HEI; connect participants and encourage networking for mutual exchange and support; identify possible actions after using the tool.
The event will also feature a hackathon (HEI-HACK!) with 30 students from 30 HEIs, that will bring the students perspective on the innovative and entrepreneurial HEIs in the discussions.
The event will be interactive and dynamic; it will feature plenary and breakout sessions, and provide a lot of space and opportunity for networking, exchange and mutual learning.
We look forward to meeting you in Brussels!
